My buddy the chef convinced me to stop cleaning my vape with iso every time

Had a conversation with my friend Mike who runs the kitchen at a spot in Denver. He said scrubbing your vape clean after every session strips the flavor oils just like seasoning a cast iron. I tried going 4 bowls between cleanings and the taste of some Blue Dream I got last week was way fuller than usual. Anyone else find a sweet spot for how often they clean theirs?

Honestly the point about vapor color is something I noticed too. When I started leaving it a bit longer between deep cleans the vapor got this milky look instead of the thin wispy stuff you get right after an iso scrub. Tbh 5 or 6 sessions is exactly where I landed after experimenting, it keeps the flavor steady without any of that burnt residue buildup.

and honestly that cast iron comparison makes a lot of sense the more I think about it. I used to iso soak my vape after every single bowl because I thought that was the only way to keep it tasting fresh. But after a week of just brushing out the loose flower and wiping the inside with a dry paper towel, the flavor stayed way more consistent through the whole bowl. The first couple hits actually have that strain's terpene profile instead of just tasting like clean metal and alcohol residue. I've been going about 5 or 6 sessions now before I do a deep clean and it feels like I'm getting way more out of my buds. You ever notice a difference in the color of your vapor too?
