Shoutout to the guy who told me to skip the fine grind on my vape

I used to think the finer the grind, the better the vapor production. Everyone on here swears by a super fine grind for maximum surface area. But I tried it for months and kept getting these super tight draws and uneven heating, especially with my Arizer Solo 2. Last weekend I got lazy and just gave the herb a coarse tear with my fingers because my grinder was dirty. The airflow was way better and the flavor lasted twice as long through the session. Turns out a medium to coarse grind works better for convection vapes like mine. Has anyone else noticed this or am I the only one who went against the fine grind gospel?

Same exact thing happened to me, I was the guy grinding my weed into literal dust thinking I was some kind of genius. "tight draws and uneven heating" is exactly what I dealt with for like six months on my Fury Edge. I felt so dumb when I finally tried a chunky hand tear and suddenly got these nice, even clouds with way less coughing. I basically wasted half a year being a grind snob for no reason, my buddy still makes fun of me for it. Now I just toss a couple bigger chunks in and call it a day, way less cleanup too.

Relax and notice how it applies to everything. Coffee grind size, how tight you pack your bowl, even how you slice onions. Everyone thinks "finer equals more surface area equals better." Reality hits different. Life makes you learn the hard way that slower and chunkier works. Enjoy the process.
