I was getting neck cramps trying to keep an eye on my auction timers on the phone while grinding through dungeons on the PC, so I grabbed one of those heavy metal gooseneck stands that clamps to the desk. It put the phone right at eye level next to my monitor, and now I can flip between the two screens without even moving my head. Has anyone else found a cheap setup piece that made a bigger difference than they expected for your second screen game?
I tried to level up my second screen setup for my Switch while grinding WoW on the main rig. Picked up one of those padded lap desks with the wrist rest and mouse pad built in. Cost me $60 at a big box store. Thing slid around on my pants, the mouse pad surface was garbage, and the Switch dock didn't even fit in the groove. Next day I took it back and grabbed a cheap plastic cutting board from the kitchen drawer, works perfect for resting my phone or a handheld on the couch. The angle is flat but at least it stays put. Anyone else ditched fancy gear for random house stuff? How do you set up your second screen from the couch without wrecking your posture?
I was grinding through Hades on my main monitor while doing a late shift in a warehouse in Memphis. Had Slay the Spire running on my phone propped against a box. Boss walked up behind me just as I lost a Hades run and accidentally tapped the phone, making a card play sound. I froze and coughed really loud to cover it up, pretended I was checking inventory numbers. He just nodded and walked away. Has anyone else had a close call like that at work?
