A client told me my invoices were confusing and it was a huge wake-up call
I sent an invoice for a $1200 project last month and the client emailed back saying they couldn't figure out what half the line items were for. They literally wrote, 'Is this for the copy or the layout? I need to know for my taxes.' I realized I was just listing hours and dates with no description. Now I break everything down by task, like 'Homepage copy revision - 3 hours' and it takes two minutes longer. Has anyone else had a client complain about their billing format?

Been there, that's such a good reminder.

I mean, is it really that deep though? Sometimes we make a bigger deal out of stuff than it needs to be. It's just a thing that happened, not a life lesson. People act like every little moment has some huge meaning and I just don't buy it lol.

I used to agree with @kevin_bailey, but finding meaning in small stuff actually helped me a lot.
