PSA: I just billed my 100th hour to a single client this month.

I've been working with them for about 8 months, and it just hit me that I've never had a client stick around that long or need that much work. It made me realize my freelance work is actually stable now, not just a bunch of one-off jobs. Has anyone else had a client become a steady anchor like that?

Getting too comfortable with one client makes you lose your hustle and puts all your eggs in one basket.

That weekly check-in tip is gold, totally changed the vibe for me too.

Got a client like that last year and it changed everything. Started treating them like a real partner, checking in every week even if there wasn't a big task. Found that sending a quick update on what I did made them trust me more and kept the work coming. It stopped feeling like a bunch of random jobs and started feeling like a real job. That first steady check is a game changer for sure.
