Walked past a co-working space in Denver and saw something wild

I was in Denver last week and walked by a fancy co-working spot downtown. I saw a line of about 15 people waiting outside before it even opened, all looking like freelancers with laptops. It hit me that a lot of us are paying for a place to work just to get out of the house, even when money is tight. My own spot costs me $180 a month, which feels crazy some days. Do you guys think having a separate office space is worth the cost, or is it just a nice-to-have?

That $180 is a steal for a dedicated workspace. It forces you to get dressed, leave the house, and actually focus without home distractions. The money you spend is an investment in your work mindset and can lead to getting more done. For some people, that separation is the only thing that keeps them productive.

Honestly, I was in the same boat last year. I tried working from home but kept getting distracted by chores and the TV. Spending $150 on a basic coworking pass totally changed my focus. It felt like a real waste of money at first, but getting out of the house made me way more productive. Now I see it as a needed cost, like paying for good internet.

$180 a month is insane.
